
That underlay has multiple issues dependent upon the fabric being used, are you sure what will be used for your design? Your program may or may not address such an issue. For instance, I have been reading "Digitizing Made Easy" by John Deer and he has information about underlay that is really important to the outcome. A professional can do all sorts of tricks with their underlying knowledge that may not be available to you. Have fun with it, use what is working for you and realize that some of the programs may not deliver what they are referring to. I am not attacking anyone who enjoys doing their own digitizing for fun and personalized items, but doing high quality digitizing requires many hours of training, work and artistry. To do commercial/professional quality digitizing, some of the programs may or may not be able to help you do that.
